Many teachers in the EVSC are using Blogs and Wikis to supplement the curriculum in their classrooms. Blogs and Wikis allow individuals to express their ideas and point of views in a open or closed community of readers. This community can read and discuss each other's thoughts and views. When an entry is written, it is written to the community as a whole, and not to one single authority figure. This process can be monitored by an authority figure to ensure appropriate responses and topics by students. There is a great deal of incentive for students to express themselves in these tools.
