Teacher Logs

The EdTech Log was developed through this EdTech grant to help teachers track what they are teaching and compare concepts taught to results from the student assessments that are given three times a year. Teachers also use this log to keep track of workshops attended and any Teleconferencing that they have completed.

Teachers keep track of concepts that they have covered and the amount of time spent on the concept. When the student assessments are given, teachers error pattern to find trends in students' knowledge in both strengths and weaknesses. By noting what they are teaching teachers become more aware of skills that have not been covered and how this affects the students on the assessment.

By using error patterning in combination with the the EdTech log and concepts taught, teachers will become more aware of standards and concepts and how they relate to student learning. Teachers can plan additional lessons to build on students' strengths and look at areas of weakness and add additional lessons to help students master those math concepts.

Here is an example of a teacher's EdTech Log from the first grading period.
