At the beginning of the EdTech grant one of the first things that the iCATS did was to sign up all of the EdTech teachers for the EdTech listerv. By using this listserv a message can be sent from any member and it will automatically be emailed to all users of the listserv.

One hurdle we faced was getting the teachers to submit to the listserv. The teachers quickly began to see how easy it was to use the listserv and to see the immediate communications that resulted.

The iCATS and the teachers involved in this grant use the EdTech listserv to communicate. It has become a valuable tool. iCATS use it to send out notices about workshops or new resources that have become available. The teachers have used the listserv to communicate about successes with lessons. The EdTech listerv has helped to keep all teachers as well as all of the iCATS updated as to what was happening throughout the many areas of this grant.
