Jerrad Gleim received his B.S. in Elementary Education and Middle School Endorsement in Math from Indiana University, and completed his M.S. in Education at the University of Southern Indiana.

This is Jerrad's first year as a member of the ICATS team.

For eight years, Jerrad taught 7th grade math and Pre-Algebra at Helfrich Park Middle School. During those eight years, he was involved in the designing and maintanence of the school website. While teaching, Jerrad used student response systems and the SMART Airliner slate to supplement the math curriculum and to engage the students in his classroom. He also sponsored two after school programs that used technology. The programs included a podcasting academy called Puma Pods and a website crew that assisted in the maintanance of the school's website.
