Karen
McBride has been working in the field of education for twenty-three years.
She has had experience working in first grade through eighth grade classrooms.
Before becoming one of the iCATS she taught at
Helfrich Park Middle School. She has been involved in working with special
high school projects when her own children attended high school, and she
worked at North Evening School with non-English speaking students. She
has also taught at U.S.I and has worked in partnership with U.S.I. teachers
initiating pen-pal partnerships in developing integrated projects.
Karen received her Degree in Education from University of Southern Indiana. She received her Masters from Indiana State University.
She has continued to stay updated in education while taking classes from University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, and Xavier. She has also attended conferences and workshops to keep her teaching skills updated with training such as 4-Block and Write Traits. |
