Web Tools for Teachers: Photo Editing Tools

There are a lot of great photo editing tools on the web. The tools below are free, easy to use, and they do what they say they will do. Additionally, many of them have corresponding Android and iOS apps:

Clevr – (Discontinued June 2018)– Free and easy-to-use photo stitching software and virtual tour hosting. Create panoramic photos and virtual tours for free.

Dumpr – (Website is no longer available)– Dumpr is where you create marvellous photos to share with your friends.

fotobabble– The ultimate personal e-card.

FotoFlexor (Discontinued November 2018)– FotoFlexer is the world’s most advanced online digital photo editor. It performs advanced effects previously only available to professionals using expensive software.

Imageoid- Transform Image – Add pretty Effects easily – Download Result

iPiccy– iPiccy is a next-generation, Web-based photo application that will change the way you think about photo-editing software. iPiccy allows anyone to quickly and easily edit and share their photo memories from any Internet connection.

Lunapic– Open Image Free Online Photo Editor. Photo, liquid and paint effects. Great for Tumblr, Myspace, Facebook or Twitter.

Quick Picture Tools– This site offers 12 simple and easy online image editing tools.

Superlame!– Quickly, easily, enjoyably, and freely add word balloons to all your pictures.

Thinglink– Create amazing interactive images.

Zoom It– Not technically an editor, but Zoom It is a great way to experience any image from the web.

Photo Editor Downloads

Gimp– GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

Photoscape– Photoscape is a fun and easy photo editing software that enables you to fix and enhance photos. This tool requires a download.

Skitch– Get your point across with fewer words using annotation, shapes and sketches, so that your ideas become reality faster.

iOS Photo Editing Apps

Snapseed is a great app for the iPad. Students can use this tool to learn about digital photography on their mobile devices.
