Want to add text to shapes in ActivInspire and make them stick?

Check out this short 2-minute video to show you how to group shapes and text.

  1. Bethany, I reproduced the problem you explained and was able to find a solution. In the Objects Browser, make sure that the text for Card A is directly above the Shape for card A, text for Card B is directly above the shape for Card B, etc. Then when you stack them the letter stays on the appropriate card. I made a screenshot, but wasn’t able to post it here. Hope that helps.

  2. Hi, thanks for this tutorial. I’m trying to create a flipchart to use in my Kindergarten classroom, and I am using the grouping tool to group text to a square box or “card.” I want to be able to stack the cards (like I would with index cards in my room), but when I try to put two cards over each other, the one card goes behind the first card, but the text stays on top. So when I try to put my “a” card over my “b” card, I see the a and b overlapping instead of the b card and text staying behind the other card. I don’t know if that makes sense or how to explain it well because I’m fairly new at this, but any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!
